MFP-3D-BIO Atomic Force Microscope

MFP-3D™ Stand Alone Atomic Force Microscope

Power and Flexibility in One Complete System

Bild

The Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), has been the instrument of choice for three dimensional measurements at the nanometer scale. With the MFP-3D Stand Alone (MFP-3D-SA) AFM, scientists can now choose a sensitive and precise AFM with the lowest noise performance that also includes a complete scientific software environment. The MFP-3D-SA is ideal for many applications including physics, material science, polymers, chemistry, nanolithography, bioscience, and quantitative nanoscale measurements. The MFP-3D has the flexibility to acquire your data, analyze it, and even make publication-ready graphics. Your imagination is your only limit.

The 90 micron closed-loop XY-stage allows for AFM imaging as well as precise sample positioning for local experiments. The force signal is sampled at 5 MHz bandwidth and all further signal conditioning and processing (lock-in, feedbacks, filtering etc.) is done digitally under software control.

All standard AFM techniques are available through the flexible IgorPro® user interface that is open for cutomized routines.

Direct access of all important controller in- and outputs allow implementation of new measurement techniques. Like its predecessor MFP-1D, the MFP-3D eliminates optical interferences and ensures straight and linear z travel over >15 microns with its sensored feedback flexture stage design.

The new AFM comes in two versions: MFP-3D BIO for all kinds of biological applications on inverted optical microscopes of Zeiss, Nikon and Olympus, and as MFP-3D-SA stand-alone with built-in video optics.

With the MFP-3D-BIO version you can combine high resolution optical imaging and epi-fluorescence measurements simultaneously with the AFM scanning on the sample. The MFP-MFP-3D-BIO replaces the sample stage of the commercial microscope with a mechanical stage allowing sub-micron positioning of the sample in two dimensions. The stage is compatible with different sample supports, including glass slides, coverslips, or petri dishes from 35 mm to 85 mm in diameter.
